“The dimensions say it is 4 and 3/4" high. is that total inches from bottom of the unit that will be beneath the countertop to the top of the grates. I need to know how many inches will be below the surface of the countertop. I have a drawer underneath”

Hello Bumblebee, Thank you so much for reaching out. We're happy to assist! The 4-3/4" is the total height of the appliance. When installing, allow 7/16" minimum vertical clearance from the cooktop bottom (or 3-11/16" minimum depth from the countertop)to any combustible surfaces, such as a cabinet drawer.
