Our GE website can be used to view the various microwaves we have available, if necessary. It also saves money by using less gas than a standing pilot range (because this system has no standing pilot light, no gas is being used unless it is needed). We hope this answer suits you! Stainless Steel knobs can be made of different materials:
On most GE Cafe Series and some GE Profile cooking products, they are die cast metal. Check product specifications to confirm.
On all other Stainless and Slate models, they are electro-plated plastic but they are weighted so they have the feel of metal knobs without the heat issues.

Grates and caps can be cleaned in dishwasher as long as they are enamel coated on the bottom.
