Q: Is this propane convertible, and if so does it come with the conversion kit?

A: Hi there, Arod - Great question! Yes, all of our gas cooking appliances come ready to be connected to natural gas and also come with an LP conversion kit to connect to LP (Liquid Propane). Q: Does the oven have a glow bar that needs electricity? or can it be lit and continue to run without electricity? Can all the burners be turned down to a simmer? I

A: Hi, Thanks for asking! We appreciate your interest in this model and we'd be happy to answer your question. If there is a power failure the oven will be inoperable and we do not recommend trying to use it. The surface burners can be lit manually if there is no electricity. You can find this information on page 7 in the User manual. We've provided a link below: https://files.bbystatic.com/7Axhea4%2FSmvnee7Qaj8maA%3D%3D/57be174e-2e68-4b96-8a72-013e411599d0.pdf In this manual you will find that the burners can be turned down to a simmer as well. Hope this helps. Have a wonderful day! -Sylvia@GEA

Q: Could you tell me the estimated time that this oven would preheat? My grandmother is saying that hers is taking almost 25 minutes from the moment she turns the oven on to when the beep says the oven is at the appropriate temperature? Is this normal?

A: Hello Lynnd - Thank you and your grandmother for being part of the GE Appliances family. For a range like this, the typical preheat time is approximately 15-20 minutes. However, this can vary due to many factors such as the amount of racks in the oven and the starting and surrounding temperature. Please let us know if you have any more questions. - John@GEA

Q: how much does this range weigh?

A: Hello and thank you for reaching out about this great range. Model JGBS60DEKWW weighs approximately 150 lbs. Please let us know if you have any more questions. - John@GEA

Q: In my new JGBS60DEKWW a 10 inch or so metal rod protrudes straight out from the upper left oven wall. What is that? My old XL44 had something similar but was was flat against the oven wall. When is the gas on/off switch located within the oven?

A: Hi mom86, thanks for reaching out to us! We believe that the part you're describing is a Range Temperature Sensor. The part number that is connected to that part for your particular model is: WB20K10015. As for the gas valve, which control the on/off flow of gas, it is normally located in the rear of the range. We hope that this helps and that you're staying safe. -Michael
