A:AnswerWe have the slate one and it has the option to be vented or ventless. There are knockouts that can be used to make it vented, however it comes set up to be ventless for recirculation into the kitchen. It does NOT come with the charcoal filter though. That needs to be purchased separately.
A:AnswerThe exhaust fan is only on the left side of the hood. I'm not certain of the unit's ability to exhaust at the back horizontally. The installer explained that the unit will only exhaust from the left, front side.
A:AnswerHi - The range hood is equipped with halogen bulbs (110V, 35W - GU10). Before attempting to replace the lights, make sure that the light switch is turned off. Rotate light counterclockwise to unlock and pull out. Wearing latex gloves may offer a better grip. Replace with new light of same type, making sure pins are inserted properly into the sockets of the lamp holder and turn clockwise to lock. You'll find the instructions on removal on page 8 of the Use and Care Guide at the following link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-80783-4.pdf - Purchase RANGE HOOD BULB, 110V, 35W - GU10 #WB25X24863 online at GEApplianceparts.com: https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/spec/WB25X24863 - We hope this is helpful. A:AnswerHi Zavtra- Thanks for choosing GE! We are sorry to hear of the difficulty removing the bulb. Before attempting to replace the lights, make sure that
the light switch is turned off. Rotate light counterclockwise to unlock and pull out. Wearing latex gloves may offer a better grip. Replace with new light of same type, making sure pins are inserted properly into the sockets of the lamp
holder and turn clockwise to lock. All lamps need to be GU10 compatible. For reference, see page 8 of the Owner's Manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-80783-4.pdf - We hope the latex gloves help. Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
A:AnswerIt comes without any duct holes pre-opened, so round or rectangle can be chosen at installation time. Ours came out of the box set up as 'ventless' (recirculating into the kitchen) and a piece needs to be installed to duct outside (which the installer did not do and we are still trying to resolve with BestBuy)
