A:AnswerGreetings,
This is a great question to ask! Ovens come equipped with a 40” or 54” long conduit (armored flex cable) to "hard wire" the appliance in. As of 2020, all 30” and 27” wall oven conduits are 48” long now. You will need to check the serial number to determine when the oven was manufactured. If you have any additional questions, please let us know. Have a swell day! Mike@GEA
A:AnswerIn order to meet NEC requirements this oven can only be installed hard wired to an approved electrical box. If installed as per instructions the wiring (in flex conduit) will reach the connection box if the box is installed near the top of the installation space on the right side.
A:AnswerHi - we're happy to assist with this concern regarding your wall oven! There are certain factors that can affect the performance of your oven and you can try the following troubleshooting tips to try and correct this issue: *Make sure that the heat is not escaping the oven by properly closing the door, checking the gasket for rips or tears and double checking that your racks are not backwards. *Check the position of the pans inside the oven and make sure there is at least 1-2" of separation between pans and sides of the oven cavity. You can learn more about troubleshooting by looking up the article "RANGE & WALL OVEN - OVEN TEMPERATURE IS NOT CORRECT" online. -- There might also be instances in which the oven elements will cycle on and off to maintain the desired temperature you set for the oven. When the oven temperature has dropped below the set temperature, the oven cycles on again to provide heat. The oven will cycle off again once the temperature is higher than the set temperature. -- If you the information above isn't helpful, we strongly recommend scheduling a service appointment. You can do so by calling us at: 1-800-432-2737. -- We hope this was insightful. Have a great day. - Pablo@GEA

A:AnswerHey there, and thanks for letting us know about this situation. We hate to hear you’ve having an issue with the door not closing; we know how frustrating that must be. Have you checked whether there are any obstructions around or near the door that might be preventing it from closing all the way? Any racks or other objects sticking out could possibly prevent it from closing completely. If there are no obvious obstructions, we do have instructions for both removing and replacing the oven door on page 15 of the Use and Care manual; going through that process may help resolve and/or make clear where the issue is. (The manual can be viewed on our GE website when you look up the model number, go to the product page, and click the 'Owner Support' option under the appliance picture.) If you try that process, please use caution around the gasket. It’s essential for a good seal/oven safety, and care should be taken not to rub, damage or move it. If you’re unable to resolve this door issue, our Service Department is available at 1-800-432-2737; a technician would be glad to examine the door. We hope this concern is resolved for you soon, so you can enjoy your unit without further inconvenience. If you have any other concerns or questions, we are happy to help any time. All the best! -Sarah@GEA
A:AnswerHello there - great question! Yes, but these ovens are only approved to be installed under the specific models as labeled on the unit. We encourage you to check out the cooktop's installation instructions to see if it can be installed above a wall oven. You'll see a diagram of the location requirements for this combination on page 2 of the quick specs: https://files.bbystatic.com/kmbNowoNqCK%2B6ZIE4vKmOA%3D%3D/1213d095-74ef-4766-942f-65e0fd41569f.pdf and in more detail on page 2 of the installation instructions (linked on our website). We hope this is helpful. Connect with us again if you have questions moving forward. All the best, Kelsey@GEA

A:AnswerUnfortunately, it is normal. New GE 30" double oven installed this weekend. Racks have to be forced in, and scratched the crap out of the sides. I've contacted them and asked for new racks and/or to compensate me for devaluing the oven before its even been used.
A:AnswerHey there, and thanks for taking the time to reach out to us. We hate to hear you are unsure whether the fan in your wall oven is functioning normally, and know that would be a concern. The fan will turn on and off during the cooking cycle, depending on the cooking mode that has been selected. Both the fan and the heating elements are run at certain times to create the optimal heat distribution for an even bake performance. The fan and heating elements will also shut off when the door is opened. What you are seeing is therefore likely normal, but if you think the fan is functioning in an unusual way or your food is being negatively impacted, our service department is available at 1-800-432-2737. We hope this information helps to clarify the matter, and are available for any other questions or concerns. Best wishes! -Sarah@GEA
