Yes it will provided that your vertical window measurements support the slide extension of the unit that the hose plugs into. I have two units and have both vertical and horizontal windows. The slide extensions are placed either vertically or horizontally depending on the size of the window. With a little help of the foam insulation provided to prevent moisture from coming in, they both work great! Hope this helps!
