A:AnswerHello- We appreciate your question and your interest in this cooktop. This does have an electronic ignition and you have to push the knob in and turn it to the LITE position. You'll hear a clicking noise...the sound of the electric spark igniting the burner. When one burner is set to the LITE position, all the burners will spark. This is normal. If you have any additional questions, please let us know. We are here to help! Joyce@GEA

A:AnswerCheck your existing box that sits below counter, top fit but had to make some adjustments for base to sit in countertop. Original cabinet and counter was custom fit.
A:AnswerHi Indicator, thanks for reaching out to us and for your patience! We truly appreciate your interest in this beautiful gas cooktop and are happy to answer this for you. The cooktop does not feature an indicator light that illuminates when a burner is on, as a hot cooktop indicator light feature would be found mostly on our electric cooktops. Each control knob can be rotated between Lite, Low, Medium, and High and has a notch to indicate which position it is set to. If you are asking about an indicator light as an extra safety precaution when using the burners, we will tell you that we do offer some cooktop models that have a Control Lock option that locks the cooktop to prevent unwanted use. An indicator light will illuminate when the cooktop is locked. While this model does not offer that feature, we would be happy to offer you guidance in one that does. If you would like to learn more about this, please feel free to reach out to us via our Contact Us page on our site. We hope that this information helps to clarify. All the best! -Eliza@GEA

A:AnswerHi,
Thanks for the question! We appreciate you choosing GE Appliances and we'd love to help. To clean the stainless steel surface, use warm sudsy water or a stainless steel cleaner or polish. Always wipe the surface in the direction of the grain. Follow the cleaner instructions for cleaning the stainless steel surface. Cleaners with oxalic acid such as Barkeepers Friend Soft Cleanser will remove surface rust, tarnish and small blemishes. Use only a liquid cleanser free of grit and rub in the direction of the brush lines with a damp, soft cloth. Hope this helps!

A:AnswerHello there - Thanks for reaching out. There isn't an approved repair method to cover the scratches. If the stainless steel is slightly scratched, Bar Keepers Friend helps reduce the appearance of the scratches. -Mikayla@GEA
