Hi Kat - Thanks for considering GE Model # GFW450SSMWW! Yes, the spacious 4.5 tub can accommodate king size comforters. Most comforters will wash properly in our front load washers as long as the comforter fits behind the washer tub gasket and is not stuffed into the tub tightly. The thickness, density, and overall size of the comforter should be taken in account when deciding whether to wash the comforter in a washer.
