A:AnswerI got a GE set in May of 2020 and they are working great. I didn't know I need a washer pan for the washer so we don't let it spin past medium speed or it will start walking. No noises to be concerned with so far.
A:AnswerHi jeffb, good question! Based on page 21 of this unit's installation instructions, we're seeing the following about drain requirements: The standpipe height above the floor should be: Minimum height: 24” (61 cm), Maximum height: 96” (244 cm). We hope this helps! Best wishes. -Michael@GEA
A:AnswerHello Jeff - Thank you for your interest in this excellent new washer. The drain or standpipe should be at least 24" off but no more than 96". So 8 feet will be the maximum height for the drain. Please let us know if you have any more questions. - John@GEA
A:AnswerHello Chad - Thank you for being part of the GE Appliances family. We are always happy to help. Should you need to stop the washer after it has started, press the Start/Pause button. Once paused, you can select a new cycle to cancel and start a new load or if left on pause for 15 minutes, the unit will automatically cancel the cycle. Stay safe and keep in touch! - John@GEA
A:AnswerHello Stringer - We appreciate your interest in our new UltraFresh Front Loaders. We're afraid they are currently only available in 28" width. Please let us know if you have any more questions. - John@GEA
A:AnswerHi there, thanks for reaching out! We're sorry to say that we do not rate the sound level of our washers, which means we are unable to provide a decibel level while they are running. We apologize about that! If you have other questions, feel free to reach out to us via email or social media. All the best! -Michael@GEA
A:AnswerHello Mithlorin,
We appreciate you reaching out and are happy to answer your question. The stacking kit itself will not add towards to total height of the washer/dryer combo. Once the units are stacked, the total height will be 79-1/2". If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us via social media or through our Contact Us page. We hope this helps. Best wishes. Mike@GEA
A:AnswerHello BH23 - Thank you for your interest in the washer GFW850SSNWW; we re glad to assist. GE Appliances products are designed by GE Appliances engineers in the United States. Many are manufactured in the U.S. and others are made globally to our specifications. The country of origin is shown on the Model/Serial rating plate as well as the packaging.
Manufacturing facilities (plant sites, where appliances are made) can and do change from time to time because GE Appliances continues to seek the most efficient manufacturing processes available. We make products all over the world for a Global marketplace. Therefore, your best source for manufacturing location is the packaging/product itself.
While we are unable to supply you with the location; however, we can confirm whether the product was Made in the USA or Globally. This washer is made Globally. Thanks for checking. Olga
A:AnswerHello John,
Thanks for reaching out. Great question. An older pedestal will not fit this model. The only pedestal that is made for this washer is model GFP1528SNWW. We do hope this helps. Best wishes. Mike@GEA
A:AnswerHello Faridi,

A:AnswerHello Stewie,
Thanks so much for reaching out. We're happy to answer your question. This washer can handle a load of bulky items. We recommend following the washing instructions on the rugs when preparing to clean them and not to overload the washer. The dry weight of the load should not be more than 16 pounds. We hope this helps. Best wishes. Mike@GEA
A:AnswerHi there, thanks for reaching out! If you're needing a drain pan for this unit, you can take a look at either of these part numbers: PM7X2 and PM7X3. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael
A:AnswerHi Stuart. No, the pedestals are NOT included. However, they are storage units. The cost is approximately $279 , a bit expensive!! This unit 5.0 is quite large. Unless you have a significant size laundry room, I’d forgo the pedestals.
