QuestionI assume the steam cleaning requires water to be run to the stove... can we use the stove without the connected water and forgo the steam cleaning?

- Answer Your assumption is incorrect! There is no connection for this feature as the water is deposited manually (1) cup.

QuestionHave there been any reported issues with the control panel being on top of the unit vs front? Other models with similarly placed controls have reported malfunction of the panel due to the high heat of the front burners

- Answer HI, I am buying this range because the controls are ON the top... I currently have an electric samsung that I paid 1500 for, and when you lean on the unit to stir a back pot it automatically turns on front burners.... I reported this to samsung and they would do nothing for me.. I think its dangerous and lived with it, but now that I am my home into a beach rental, I have to dispose of this 3 year old unit as it is dangerous for unknowing renter to use.... oh well... my loss and shame on you samsung.

Please review the installation instructions for information -- https://files.bbystatic.com/ryYVE01KtNfjHQgIjqHVjQ%3D%3D/Installation%2BGuide -- The range will come with a rear trim piece that must be installed for proper operation and as a result there will be a slight gap at back of the range at counter level. - Answer The highest temperature setting would be "boil/hi". The owner's manual doesn't say how hot that is, but does say it's "very powerful" and warns against burning and/or setting your food on fire with it. For the self cleaning mode the manual says the oven goes to 500F. Regular cooking will go to 450, and I don't know of a case for using more than that when cooking.
