Cook like the professionals with this GE slide-in gas range. Hot air fyring gives you crispy results without using oil and the large integrated non-stick griddle gives you more room to cook. The 18,000 BTU power boil burner allows you to boil water in less time and the 10,000 BTU oval burner fits odd-size cookware. This 30-inch GE gas range has a slide-in design for a perfect fit that looks custom built.
A: Yes, and I looked into that when I made my purchase. The caveat would be the grill burner is long so I don't know how well that would work, even with the proper grate. I would think heat would be wasted on either side of the center. You're better off to use the large "power boil" burner on the left side front. It does what it's name suggests! In the attached photo I'm showing the center burner (lit) proportions. You can also see that room is limited there when pots are on the other burners.
A: This is a great question! This range features both Steam Clean and Self Clean. Steam Clean works best for lighter soils where Self Clean can be better used for heavier, baked-on soils. If you have any other questions for us, just let us know! We hope this helps! -Chris@GEA
A: The oven is powered by gas. However it does need 110V (from a regular wall socket) to power the computer functions for the oven and the burner igniter. In the even of a power failure, the stove top burners will still work, you just have to light them manually - however the oven will not work because it is completely computer controlled.
A: Hello, thank you for the excellent question. The conventional cooking mode does not utilize the fan, so it will not run if that mode is selected. During the convection mode, the fan will cycle on and off depending on the heat level and to maintain temperature, so the noise level will depend on how often the fan is going. It will also not run until preheat is reached in the convection mode. We hope this helps! -Elliot@GEA
Q: Was this range supposed to come with a gas hookup kit? only thing i got was a propane adapters.
A: The gas hook-up kits are purchased separately. It usually adds it to your cart as "accessories needed", or something to that effect.
A: Hi there, and thanks for your interest in this slide-in range! We appreciate how important the appearance of your range is, and are happy to advise. The main difference between our fingerprint resistant and stainless steel products is that fingerprint resistant units don't require the use of a 'stainless steel cleaner' (such as Cerama Bryte). While we do recommend stainless steel approved cleaning products for this range, if you use such a product you should be able to keep the range looking just as flawless! Additionally, when we designed the fingerprint resistant finish we made it to blend well with our traditional stainless steel models. Fingerprint resistant may have a slightly more satin (less reflective) finish, but overall has excellent color harmony with stainless steel and should not clash in your kitchen. We hope this helps, and are confident this range would make a great addition to your home. Wishing you all the best! -Sarah@GEA
A: I’d say you may want to call for service on that from GE while it’s in warranty - I purchased the same range back in November and it has a very strong seal when closed (as an adult I can open with one finger but just barely as it take a lot of effort) so I’d assume it shouldn’t be as easy to open as you are mentioning
Q: Can burner be manually light during power outages?
A: Yes. Ignitor is visible and you can light it manually. Great oven, btw. Works well and has great features.
