Probably a defective unit..if it's running and u have the humidifier set to a lower temp then it should be pulling the moisture from the air as intended.. I personally have tried 2 of these units.. the first worked great for a total of 3 days then stopped pulling the moisture from the air and ran for a week straight.never collecting another drop of moisture...returned.. got shipped another one and that one never pulled a drop a moisture from the air.. after running it also for a week.. also got returned..I went back to using my perfectly working 7 year old unit(also GE) Good Luck
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You either have a defective unit or you dont have the humidity set low enough..my guess is its the unit itself.. I also had one that i purchased and it worked for a week or so then stopped actually pulling the humidity from the air ..ran for 4 days using lots of electric for nothing.. (see kw usage in smart app) and not a drop of moisture in the bucket yet my hydrometer in my basement kept rising while it was on got up to 49%.. turned my older ge model back in. And within seconds of running had moisture was dripping.. so I returned the unit and had a replacement sent to me.. my older model had got my basement back down to 40% over night.. im still waiting to see if the new one works yet.. we had gotten super cold weather this week so the humidity has stayed lower so far but the temps are warming and the humidity is back on the rise as per usual.. so fingers crossed the new one does the job better than the last unit.. otherwise its goin back again and staying there this time.. good luck..
