Hi Barbara - Thanks for viewing GE! Model AHP14LZ does not have a dehumidify only setting. Part of the cooling process is removing moisture from the air. Dehumidification pints per hour is 4.1. Also, the unit has an electronic front control panel that can be manually programmed. For guidance, we suggest viewing the Use and Care Manual here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-5000462.pdf - Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A dehumidifier works by passing humid air over condenser coils chilled with refrigerant, then exhausting the air -- slightly warmed from the exhaust from the compressor, back into the room. All air conditioners dehumidify as they cool, using essentially the same process, but they are set up to only chill the coils when cooling is needed and to exhaust waste heat to the outside. To my knowledge, no window AC unit has such a setting. This model does not have a manual control panel. It is set up and operated using the included remote control..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I didn't see anything about a dehumidify only setting in manual. It does have a control panel on the front, but it is hard (too hard) to see as it blends in far too well with the front panel. I'm happy with the unit.
