Hello Kristina - Thank you for reaching out about this excellent air conditioner. The minimum window width this unit will fit in is 26-1/8". Also, the height of the window needs to be 15-5/8". Keep in touch! - JB

It has panels that slide in grooves on the sides to fit/fill slide up windows and the mounting brackets included also secure it using slide up windows. If you are handy and have another plan for the mounting system and closing up your window, it measures 20 1/8 inches wide. Good luck! (I’m a customer who just bought this a month or so ago not a techy or handy person.)
