• A:Answer Hi - Thank you for your interest in a new GE dishwasher. We recommend you inspect and clean the filters periodically. This should be done every other month or more depending on usage. If there is a decrease in wash performance or dishes feel gritty, this is also an indication the filters need to be cleaned. We hope this helps. Vikki@GEA

• A:Answer If a dishwasher doesn’t have front controls it’s considered a full integrated dishwasher. This type of dishwasher has no buttons or controls on the door. The front panel on the dishwasher is smooth and button free. The panel where all the cycles are shown are visible after the door is opened.
