“I need a microwave for the following space. H-16 3/4 ; W-29 7/8 ; D-14 3/4. I am looking at Model PEM31EFES?? Since I have plenty of clearance it looks like I can just set in the space and use as a "countertop" Thx in advance”

Hi DeerParkAg- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for viewing our GE Series Microwaves! The Approximate Dimensions are as follows: (HxWxD) 12 1/8 in x 24 in x 12 7/8 in. Microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge air vents. We recommend 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and 1" clearance in the rear. The front edge of the microwave (measured at door) should sit at least 3" or more back on the countertop or shelf to avoid accidental tipping. If located on the counter near a range, we recommend locating it at least 2 feet away. Do not place near or above a heat source. Also, an optional Undercabinet Hanging Kit JXA019K (sold separately) is available to free up cabinet space. If installed with the hanging kit, allow 2" air clearance on each side of the microwave.
