“Does "cut-out-length" refer to the minimum depth of the surrounding cabinets? AND why is the cut-out-length for this microwave 17 5/16 inches when the other GE over-the range microwaves of the same size have a cut-out-legnth of 13 inches?”

• Hey there, Thanks for your question. The cut out dimensions are designed so the the microwave will be able to fit properly in its surroundings. The length is the same as the depth.
