“I have a GE Profile gas range. We will have 16 inches between the top of the range and the bottom of the microwave. Is this enough clearance? Do I need to be concerned with the heat from the range effecting the microwave?”

Hi Mac- Thanks for choosing our GE Profile Series! Yes, 16" is sufficient clearance. Over- the- range models must be installed 66" from the floor to the bottom of the cabinet that the microwave attaches to. This can also be measured as 30" from the cooktop to the bottom of the cabinet it attaches to.
