I hear the slightest hissing/electrical hum noise on the inside top right side when the door is opened. Is this normal? null

Hi! Thanks for asking. A humming noise when the microwave is not in operation would be normal. The transformer emits a slight humming sound that is usually not noticed. The transformer is used to power the clock. Yes I noticed when you pointed out
I do not know if it is normal or not
I have a question 
My old ge Microwave unit had a light that you could see food cooking this one does not
it only lights when you open the unit

I don't hear any hum on my oven, but my hearing is not the greatest.  I would suggest sending a text or e-mail to GE tech support for a more definitive answer.
