No. What you see is exactly what you get. The PEB is the built in cabinet model that requires the Trim Kit as an additional item which you can get the stainless steel color. GE does sell the PES model which is for counter top use in different colors.

no, the trim kit is stainless steel color, but the microwave itself is a medium gray color, not black.

No it isn’t stainless steel. It’s more of a steel blue/gray. The trim kit however (because it meant to be a built-in) is stainless steel so it works for me. It’s a nice unit, very quiet.

It is gray and not stainless. I bought one and also bought the frame that goes with it which is actually stainless, in order to match the stainless oven that we have. 
Together with the frame it looks pretty nice.

Hi katybelle- The PEB7227SLSS is our "stainless" model, meaning that it is the model that is paired with other stainless appliances. The door and control is the same dark gray used on the stainless oven door and control panel, as well as the accents and case sides on other stainless appliances. Since the PEB7227 is intended for built-in installations only, the required 27" JX7227SLSS or 30" JX7230SLSS stainless trim kit is the stainless framing around the dark gray door and control. When the microwave is installed with the stainless trim kit, it has a similar appearance as our Stainless wall ovens, which are commonly paired with built-in microwaves in the cabinet.
