“As the doors swing outward, how much room do you need to the left or right for the door to open at the hinge point? I have a wall built to the left of my refrigerator insert and only have 2 1/4" gap between the wall and the side.”

The fresh food interior cabinets and drawers can be fully accessed when the doors are open to 90° at the hinge point. This model has an overall width of 35.625" and the width with the doors open 90° including the handles is 44.875". Therefore, when opened 90°, the doors will require an additional 4.625" on each side. If you want to show us what you are asking we will try to reply again. Love our new fridge. You might have to pull it away from the back wall if all else fails.
