Does not sound right. I just tried the same drawer on my refrigerator and it slides open smoothly without the clicking noise you described. Maybe check that all the shipping plastic has been removed. Otherwise, I recommend a warranty service call.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No its not. Ours is gentle and so quiet. The first one we had delivered when they took it out of the box it was damaged. We had to wait 2 more weeks for a new one. I would call them and tell them what it is doing.

We are sorry to hear you are experiencing a clicking sound when opening the center drawer. There are different sounds that can be heard, but a loud clicking doesn't seem normal. Please take a look at the following link: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17473 ~We recommend disconnecting the power by unplugging the unit or flipping the breaker off for a couple minutes. (During this time, don't open the doors). Restore power and see if that helped. If the clicking continues, we recommend taking advantage of your warranty and reaching out to GE Consumer Service at 1-800-432-2737. We hope this helps! If you have additional questions, please let us know. Thank you! Joyce@GEA
