This is a very nice Hood. Yes it can be installed under cabinet. Read all the instructions and make sure you nave your tools. We found the template was off in size and possession of a couple of the screw holes. Measurements looked good until compared to the Hood. Also have the wiring clamp on hand. We like how quiet it is. Also the eight inch exhaust moves a lot of air.
