“My bottom freezer draw within the last 2 days is forming frost ice on items which has never happened since I've purchased the item a year ago. Looking at the set temp. setting on the outside of the door it Is currently reading -1F. Thank you. Customer”

We found that the rubber seal around the freezer door came loose often and if it is not seated right, it causes the freezer to work overtime and that's when we see frost form on the drawers. Looks at that rubber seal all the way around and make sure it is not loose.

If the freezer drawer is not sealing properly, frost or ice may begin to form in the freezer. To correct: Unplug the refrigerator and allow the freezer to defrost. This can take about 24-48 hours. Once defrosted, open the freezer and wipe any moisture dry, especially the rails that the drawer sits on. Allow the freezer to air dry 24 hours prior to plugging the refrigerator in. If the problem persists, we recommend service.
