Hi - Thank you for your interest in our fabulous Profile induction cooktop. The product title states "electric" because this cooktop must be connected to electricity (vs gas) to operate. This electric cooktop offers induction burners to prepare your food. To answer your question, it is in fact both. An electric cooktop that offers induction burners.
