“we just had our Opal 2.0 ice maker delivered. The box was in bad shape and when we took it out we noticed that there was some water in the tubes.... is this normal or were we sent a used or refurbished unit????”

If there was water in the tubing, then the unit must have been used. The first one I received from best buy had a severely damaged box and minor scratch on the side, so it was returned without trying to start-up. The second one was in good condition, but when trying to start up, the pump would not prime. Contacted GE and they recommended a method to try to prime, but still did not work. Returned the second one and gave up. It looks huge on the counter, so not sure if we will try a 3rd one.
