My ice maker ran water for about an hour or two. Not exactly sure how long it took to make ice. I left after cleaning it multiple times and turning it on. I did wonder why water was flowing and not just being stored in the unit until ice was made.

We recommend you double check to make sure you have 3" air clearance on all sides and back of the unit. Please follow the directions in the owner's manual for cleaning and sanitization and using the attachments on your vacuum cleaner or a hand vac, clean the side vents on the unit.
