It does not.  We have the same model/version.

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out about your Opal. Your concern is understandable. Your opal will not overflow with ice. Even when your Opal turns on with a full bin, it will stop making ice when the unit detects the bin is full. Hope this helps. Mike@GEA
