• No. Water is placed in the built-in reservoir or an attached side-tank. Doesn't seem like it would be an issue to have plumbed, but isn't marketed or designed for that.

• nope. However the side tank does need to be connected to the provided water line that is already connected to the main unit. But all that requires is for you to simply plug the line directly in to the side tank. But to repeat what i said no, no water lines are needed to use this unit.

• No, it's a completely stand alone unit. It uses a water container on the side that you can remove and refill, much like a coffee maker.

• No it does not although that would be a great option. If you go through a lot of ice or entertain I would recommend the optional side water tank that connects to the unit.
