“I plan on purchasing this but the reviews on Amazon indicate it is extremely noisy. Is this noisy?”

I don't think it's noisy. Maybe a little when it's going through the cleaning phase but that's it.

From what I see the Amazon product is only the first model which I see complaints about the noise. This is the 2.0 model which I just got and there is a slight hum but thats given due to the compressor. I can't compare the two because I've never had the first modle but this one is quite and from 3' away you can barely hear it

It is somewhat noisy, however it is a ice maker and not the traditional one like in a fridge/freezer where the sound of greatly muffled. It is very tolerable, we have 4 kids and one is a newborn and it does not even wake him.

Yes, I purchased mine a month ago and they dang thing gives me a headache. It is soooo loud it wakes up the baby. Sounds like a gear is bound up or something and lasts for 45 minutes. Sometimes it will say defrosting but this happens a few times a day. Very disappointed.. I may just go to hand chiseling my wife ice to avoid the annoying noise from this machine.

This is super noisy I haven’t even been able to ise it lately and can get no response purchased from beat buy 10/30/2020

The product is quiet most of the time. When the compressor kicks on, it sounds like a mixer is running. After a few days, this sound just works its way into the normal sounds of your home.
