• It seems a small amount does “leak” into the front tray

• I’m not sure how much water you are seeing, puddling or pouring out on the counter and/or to the floor would not be normal. I have noticed that when the ice melts (after being in the bin too long) it has a tendency to drip from the bottom of the bin when then bin is opened. Not more than the drip tray can hold though.
