No. This unit has it's own side tank that you have to fill manually.

No, I've seen some modification tutorials online where people have gone in and added a water line, but the Opal has a water reservoir that must be manually filled to produce ice. They sell an attachment that lets it hold more water so you don't have to refill as often but that's it.

The product comes with a reservoir you will need to refill periodically - more often if you use lots of ice. The reservoir has a water line which feeds into the unit, and it must have enough room to lie flat (behind the unit) so the water flows freely.

No, but if I could , i would. This is the Best thing ever. We love it, everyone that comes to my home loves it and wants one. It's better than sonic ice, lol. It's easy to hook us. The ice in my swig or yeti lasts all day. i would buy another one in a heart beat. i bought a 4 year warranty so I'm all set.
