Yes! Mine has been on the counter a year.

We don't recommend installing the Ice maker outside. It should be installed upright on a flat, level surface that is able to support the total weight when full of water. Install the Opal in a well-ventilated area with an ambient temperature between 55 and 90 degrees and should not be placed in direct sunlight.
