You don't need a filter for the 2.0 unless you have bad water. You can get the filter from the ge parts website.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you can figure out where to put a filter, DO IT. Our water is hard. We filter it and then put it in the ice maker. Cleaned it as we should. Worked GREAT for three years. Now, little bits of calcium or plastic are coming through into our ice. Breaks easily, but has no taste. I think it is plastic the hard calcium has broken down over time. We use it constantly. (The ice is awesome. I crunch it all day.) Guess we learned our lesson and need to buy jugs of water again or try to figure out if a filter will even help. Bottom line: Will DEFINITELY buy again. Will get the extended warranty. Will buy jugs of water for filling until we buy our own house and install a filtration system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not bought a filter yet because I think my water is pretty clean. If you buy purified water you don’t have to get it but if you use your house water it depends on the quality of your water. I have used mine every other day and I clean it once a week and it’s been fine so far.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The filter is available directly from GE. We use a tabletop Bria filtering pitcher for ours.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it doesn’t to my knowledge. It has to be cleanly with a solution that they sell though
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We didn’t see a place for a filter. Doesn’t need one. The instructions are confusing because they have you looking for a filter, but that’s with the side water container as an accessory.
