“Our PEB2060SM2SS Profile series microwave just died. I want replace it with either a GE PEB7227SLSS or a PEB7226SFSS model. Are these the correct replacements for the deceased model and is the existing trim kit compatible with both?”

Hi Jeff- Thank you for making GE Appliances a part of your home! We know you have choices and appreciate the trust you've placed in us. PEB7227SLSS (new) and PEB7226SFSS are the comparable models. However, you will need to purchase the appropriate trim kit since they are not interchangeable. PEB7227SLSS is compatible with 27" Built-In Kit JX7227SLSS and 30" Built-in Kit JX7230SLSS. Appearance upgrades on this new model include extended window, less noticeable gap between unit and trim, glass touch controls to match most wall oven controls.
