“Is this refrigerator really a manual defrost? The GE comparison site shows this refrigerator to have Frost Guard which is the same thing it shows for the other counter depth models. So is this a typo? May need to change my order before delivery.”

Hi KKHouston- Model PYE22KSKSS is Frost-Free with Frost Guard. Frost Guard (Adaptive Defrost) means that the refrigerator will only defrost as needed. It accounts for door openings and usage to determine when it is necessary to defrost and how long the defrost cycle needs to run. If the refrigerator is not being frequently used (ex. family on vacation), it will not defrost as often.
