You can wash smaller loads and no it does not take 2 hours for the whole cycle. I have had smaller loads wash and dry in an hour.

Hey there. Our Combo is a great fit for smaller loads as well as larger! The two hour estimate is based on a 10 lb. mixed load; with a smaller load, our sensing technology will adjust to a shorter time frame. Additionally, the unit has a Quick Cycle that’s a great option for smaller loads (about 2 to 5 items) of lightly soiled items – this cycle will generally wash and dry in about 70 minutes. You just have to adjust the drying time, I managed to reduce the time to 1:30 minutes.

You just put Time to Dry and give it 30 minutes.

The washer weighs the load size, so it adjusts based on that; I like that I can set it for more water, extra rinse, and that it will wash then dry automatically. And it will automatically dispense detergent and fabric softener from filled tanks, and even that is ajustable. the filter is right in, so it is easy to clean, and there is less lint.
