“My current washer has to pump the discharge water up 5 feet to the sewage line. Will this washer be able to push the discharge water up 5 feet too? This is a basement installation.”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As for any washer a 5ft vertical discharge is not recommended. This puts more stress on the pump causing the pump to prematurely break and will add time to the cycle run time. I would recommend consulting a professional plumber about putting in a drain line that is not vertically 5ft. Or consider at least installing a check valve so that the back flow is not entering the machine.
