A:AnswerJust make sure that your drain waste line is capable of handling the high volume of discharge from the machine and I would recommend every time you operate the machine that your camper/RV is connected to sewer with your grey water tank valve open just so you don’t run into any problems of back up or grey water tank rupture. Also you will need to reinstall the drum stabilizing bolts every time your camper/RV moves as the drum is not designed to be bounced around and damage to the drum will occur.
A:AnswerHi - We appreciate your interest in our amazing Profile UltraFast Combo washer dryer unit. The door is hinged on the left and is not reversible. We offer a 7" riser that can be used with this unit. With the riser, the unit will be approximately 53 7/10" high. This places the bottom of the wash basket approximately 22" off the floor. We understand your concern regarding the ease of the use and will gladly share your comments. At GE Appliances we are incredibly excited about all this new unit offers and hope you are as well. Kind regards – Vikki@GEA
A:AnswerI also did this as well. I highly recommend having a professional certified plumber to put in another set of washer connections as for when the machines are draining simultaneously there will be a very high volume of discharge and you could run into back up/flooding issues if your drain line is not adequate to handle the large volume. Also each machine requires a separate dedicated 20 amp circuit. I also recommend a certified professional electrician to make sure you have a 20 amp circuit for each machine to be able to operate simultaneously.
A:AnswerHi there - Thank you for taking the time to reach out. This unit is electric and does not require gas. We hope this information is helpful. A:AnswerHi - Thank you so much for your interest in our wonderful Profile Washer/Dryer Combo unit. We are very excited to introduce this new model to our consumers as it is an innovative, well-thought-out machine. The sound level of the Combo during the wash cycle is comparable to any of our other frontload washers. That said, It is important that the unit be properly installed ensuring it is level and that the shipping bolts have been removed. In drying, the unit is quieter than standard dryers since the drum is insulated and there is no external venting. We hope you find this helpful and that you choose this great product for you and your family. All our best! Vikki@GEA
A:AnswerThere is an available 7 inch "Riser" item GFR0728PTDS. It cost a bit over $200.00. It does not come with the washer/dryer and it does not include a drawer that most pedestals have. It simply raises the washer 7 or so inches higher. I doubt that your LG pedestal will work unless it has the same exact footprint and mounting hardware as the GE. Any platform can be modified to work(if your a good engineer) but would probably void any manufacturer or Best Buy warranty and may create a safety issue.
A:AnswerYou can prevent build up by cleaning the mesh lint filter at least once after every 5th dry cycle. You can find more information on the article titled "GE Profile™ UltraFast Combo Washer/Dryer - Filter Cleaning" on the GE Appliances website.
A:AnswerIf you are looking for rebates from Best Buy, we recommend contacting them directly for the best assistance. They can be reached at 1-888-237-8289.
A:AnswerDo you clean the filter before each use?? There are 2 parts to the filter that require cleaning. The silk( nylon) filter and the foam filter is attached behind the silk - nylon filter
A:AnswerI would say about as well as any other washer unless there are some that have some sort of water softener incorporated - if calcification and minerals in the water is the concern.
A:AnswerYes, you can supply the Ultrafast combo unit with only the cold water hose connected. You should cap the hot water port on the Combo with either a valve cap or by hooking a hose to the other faucet but not turning that faucet on to prevent any minor dripping of water out of the back of the unit.
A:AnswerWe could not get ours to ANYTHING at all till we scanned the QR code, download the app, and go online. Then the machine downloaded the latest version of software. Then finally went to the next screen and let us proceed to setup and wash clothes.
A:AnswerYes! Especially when you connect the machine on your Wi-Fi through the app on a smart phone/mobile rated device such as a tablet or iPad. When you connect the machine you are opened to a wide range of options and notifications such as when the machine needs to be cleaned, when the detergent or fabric softener reservoirs are low, you can do custom programming for wash/dry cycles, and much more.
