  • QuestionIt seems like having to open it after the wash cycle to add a dryer sheet takes away the convenience of "One and Done." Can you put silicone dryer balls in when starting the load on the wash cycle and leave them in for the entire time?

  • QuestionIs there a low temperature dryer setting for items that require Low heat?

    Asked by Mark.

    • Answer Vikki@GEAppliances gave a response that does not clearly address the drying temp. The original question specifically asked about "low heat" for items that could be harmed by "normal" cycle temperatures. I, too, have had questions about this after the delicate cycle shrunk some Poly/Spandex shirts that specified "tumble dry low" Vikki@GEAppliances reply uses the phrases "multiple temperature and humidity sensors", "we never over-dry and we provide an Eco-Dry function (in the menu) which allows you to effectively adjust dryness level as needed", and a statement about how air flow is more important than heat in drying. None of these address the questions of how hot is it in there, and is there a way to make it not as hot in the dryer. Hi - Thank you for reaching out to us. We would recommend using the Delicates cycle for those items requiring special care. Handling all your clothing with care is a top priority and our Profile Combo does this using higher airflow which is the main component of drying, more so than heat. We have incorporated multiple temperature and humidity sensors in the Combo so we never over-dry and we provide an Eco-Dry function (in the menu) which allows you to effectively adjust dryness level as needed. We hope you find this helpful. Kind regards - Vikki@GEAppliances

  • QuestionMy washer less than 2 days and on 4th use (self clean cycle) I got an Error Fault Code: 353. GE support doesn’t know what it means and has no way to look it up. Hopefully their social media team has better luck.

    Asked by MikeUVA123.

    • Answer We have had our All in One for over a year now. When we got this error code 353 we searched and could not find much information on it. We finally started looking at it ourselves and found that the filter screen was blocking the air movement. We had been cleaning out the filter after every wash but we noticed that if you held the micro filter part under the faucet the water had a hard time going trough it. We found that the fabric softener sheets were leaving oil in the micro filter screen and blocking air from going through over time. We took the filter and soaked it in hot water and dawn dish soap and then used an old toothbrush to clean it. After drying it off and putting it back together it solved our over heating (error 353 code) issue. We now do a deep cleaning on it every month to keep the oils from building up.
