Hi LLG- The Normal cycle (no options) is approximately 51-60 minutes. Changing the Soil level increases or decreases the wash time to remove different amounts of soil. Yes, this model is an HE model and requires HE detergent. The cycle time varies depending on the size of the load and the how soiled the clothes are. A small, lightly soiled load takes about 30 minutes.
