“I asked earlier but was not clear. I bought JNM3163DJBB, need to mount it OVER the range and countertop, but under a cabinet with NO BACK WALL. Is this possible? Which mounting kit do I need? If not possible, which similar microwave model & kit can I buy?”

Hey there, and thanks for reaching out to us about your options for installing this microwave. We know how important this is, and are glad to help clarify. Unfortunately, our over-the-range microwaves do require a rear wall to mount to. We have undercabinet kits that can be used to mount a microwave; however, this would involve mounting a countertop unit, which is not approved for use over a range or cooktop. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. One alternate option is using an undercabinet range hood for venting your range, and having a separate microwave for the counter. If you wanted to consider this, PVX7300FJDS is one example of our range hoods, and PEM31FMDS is a countertop microwave that has optional kits for either hanging under a cabinet, or creating a built-in look.
