Hello- We appreciate you checking with us. This is an over the range model that can't be built into your space. To answer your question, no it is not possible. This model is designed to go over an free-standing or slide in range. ~According to Underwriters Laboratories (UL), which approves appliance installations, you cannot use an over-the-range microwave on the counter or in a shelf. Besides not being approved for this installation, these microwaves don't have feet and are also often slanted (not level) on the bottom. Additionally, if the surface lights or vent fan were to be turned on accidentally, it could cause damage to the shelf or microwave. We recommend looking at our models that offer an under cabinet hanging kit.
