The lint screen is located inside below the door of the dryer. I am 5' 3" and have no problem opening the door or getting items out of the dryer. The bottom of dryer door handle is 58" from the ground.

Dear Shorty,
I'm not quite sure how high the dryer door is, but I can tell you this. I am only slightly taller than your mother and absolutely have NO problem reaching the handle that opens the dryer's door. The lint filter is located in the front of the dryer right below the door opening at about 6 o'clock.

The bottom of the dryer door is 54 inches . The handle of the door starts at 5 feet. The link filter is at the 48 inch level
