“Can things be set or stored on top of this unit safely without concern of blocking any kind of venting or getting hot? Top of unit has a raised center? I would like to store luggage on top but do not want to block or cause anything to heat up...etc.”

Hi cabin- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for considering our GE UNITIZED SPACEMAKER® 3.2 DOE CU. FT. WASHER AND 5.9 CU. FT. ELECTRIC DRYER GUD27ESSJWW! It not recommended to use the top of the dryer for storage. Do not store items that may burn or melt (such as clothing, paper material, plastics or plastic containers, etc.) on top of the appliance nor hang them from the door. Do not store combustible materials, gasoline or other flammable liquids near the dryer. Keep dryer area clear and free from items that would obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilation air.
