Hello Bob - Thank you for your interest; we are happy to help! Most comforters will wash properly in our washers as long as the comforter fits below the balance ring of the washer tub and is not stuffed in the tub tightly. The thickness, density, and overall size of the comforter should be taken in account when deciding whether to wash the comforter in a washer. Thank you so much for checking! Olga
