• The PS5 upgrade will not be available for free. The director's cut of the game is releasing this August and if you wish to play the PS5 version of the game, you will have to buy the PS5 director's cut. If you decide you want to upgrade from the PS4 standard edition of the game to the PS5 director's cut, it will cost $30.

• Sadly the game won't get a free upgrade. You pretty much need to buy the game again to get those upgrades! Yes,it's annoying.
