Yes I'm using it to watch DirecTV Now, works fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Though I don't have Directv Now myself, I have not seen any apps were Chromecast is supported but Chromecast ultra isn't. Subsequently, per Directv Now the Chromecast is supported. https://www.directvdeals.com/directv-now/devices/ That all being said, and though I have a Chromecast ultra, I have to say for an application like Directv Now, I'd recommend a Roku before the Chromecast. 1) Roku provides direct control via remote as well as management via computer or phone. 2) Apps are directly listed and accessible in the Roku, were the Chomecast provides little in the way of pre-validation. 3) Google and Amazon seem to have some animosity and their devices/apps don't always play nice. The Roku, being third party, supports both quite well. I could go on. I'm not affiliated with or sell any of these products. Just an old tech guy providing my opinion.
