• Chromecast plays the shows on your TV which supports casting, so your mobile becomes your remote to control the play, pause movies, music, etc. its different from how Roku works which comes with its own mini remote. The content from Chromecast is played on HDMI source, which is different from your Cable TV source. To control your Cable TV, you need to use the provided remote for cable tv.

• Some TVs might allow you to control more stuff but I've only been able to pause and play when using movie/tv apps

• You use your phone as the remote. Streams from your phone to the TV this is plugged into.
