Not sure if it works with Alexa, but it does come with it's own ac adapter.

No, not with Alexa. Adapter comes with the unit, works with your phone, however.

No, Chromecast does not work with Alexa, it's an independent item. It does not require an AC power source.

cant answer the alexa thing, but many newer version TV's have a USB port on them and the chrome-cast doesn't require much power.

I asked the same question, if I recall correctly they do NOT work together. When I purchased my chrome cast I did not need an a/c adapter. I think you need it depending on the TV’s age. If a newer tv like made in last 5 years you should be ok.
